Bookshop Returns Policy

All textbook sales are final, and are non-returnable and non-refundable.

In the case where a class is cancelled by Curtin Singapore, a full refund will be made on returned textbooks subject to the following conditions:

  • Return policy applies only to textbooks purchased within the current semester
  • Returns must be made within the specified deadline as advised on the book supplier schedule
  • Textbook must be in saleable condition
  • New textbook must be in new condition
  • Textbook must not have on it any marks, writing, highlighting, bent corners, etc.
  • Poly-wrapped textbooks with wrappings that say “NOT RETURNABLE IF OPENED" must not have their wrappings opened or removed
  • Purchase receipt must be presented
  • Unit withdrawal slip within the scheduled return period as listed on the book supplier schedule.
  • E-Textbooks once redeemed and accessed, it is non-returnable.

The deadline for textbook returns is also posted at Curtin Campus BookShop premises.

It is the responsibility of students to check the condition of purchased textbooks for any damage, missing pages etc.

Any defective textbook can be replaced within 3 days from the date of purchase. Please remember to check your textbooks at the point of purchase. 

Students are advised to keep all purchase receipts.

Textbook Exchange

Due to Withdrawal

All textbook sales are final, and are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Students are allowed to exchange textbooks within 2 weeks from the withdrawal date. No exchange will be accepted after the date (TBC). Please present your unit withdrawal slip upon exchange.

E-Textbooks that have been redeemed and accessed are NOT returnable.

Used Textbook Buy-back

Of used textbooks

Books supplier engaged by Curtin Singapore will not sell and buy back the used books.

Curtin Singapore Students may post their used textbooks for sale either through the Textbook Resale Program service available during the first 8 weeks of the trimester at Curtin Singapore library.
