A mysterious coded poem – attached to a 1954 archived photo of the National Service riots in Singapore – sets off a chain of events that unravels secrets from the past.

But no one except Owen, the school’s resident freak, can see that the obscure mathematical and disparate clues are connected by only one thing—concepts linked to the Fibonacci sequence. It’s up to Owen and his only friend Clara to decipher what the clues mean, and to uncover a hidden secret—Singapore’s dark past during a time when the dreaded Kempeitai reigned and communism held its sway—before it is too late.
