Joseph Schmuller Ph.D. (Jacksonville, FL) a twenty-plus year veteran in Information Technology is a Technical Architect at Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Florida. He is the author of Active X: No Experience Required (Sybex), Dynamic HTML: Master the Essentials (Sybex), the three editions of Teach Yourself UML in 24 Hours (SAMS), and numerous articles on advanced technology. From 1991 through 1997, he was Editor-in-Chief of PC AI magazine. He is a former member of the American Statistical Association, and he has taught statistics at the undergrad, honors undergrad, and graduate levels. As a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin, he won a campus-wide award for excellence in teaching. The award was largely based on his work as a teaching assistant in statistics courses. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Florida.
