About the Illustrator:-
Afiqah Suhaimi is a talented artist known for her bespoke illustrations that capture personality and charm. Her work, featured in Josephyne Ho’s latest book My Grandpas, My Birding Kakis of My Family series, brings vivid storytelling to life, blending her love for hand-drawn art and nature. Recently recognised with the Gold Award in the Emerging Artist category at the UOB Painting of the Year (2023), Afiqah’s illustrations showcase her unique style and storytelling talent.
About the Editor:-
Valerie Lim is married with a young daughter. She was a school teacher for more than fifteen years and has a postgraduate degree in English and Linguistics. Valerie enjoys reading a wide genre of books, both in English and Chinese. Valerie likes travelling as the authentic experiences teach her more about life itself than what books can teach. One of her favourite quotes, by Marcel Proust, is “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
