About the Author:-
KOH CHENG BOON holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management from the University of South Australia and is a lecturer at Nanyang Technological University’s (NTU) Nanyang Business School. He teaches a range of subjects, including organisational behaviour, leadership, and psychological well-being, across various academic levels. His teaching has been recognised with the prestigious Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award in 2017 and the Teaching Excellence Award in 2018.
Beyond teaching, he has held significant leadership roles at NTU, serving as Academic Director for programmes like the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA), Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP), and various executive development courses. His research focuses on topics such as collective and crisis leadership, emotional intelligence, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), career transition, and others.
Before joining academia in 2012, Cheng Boon had a distinguished military career in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), where he was Commander of the Air Warfare Training Institute and Head of Training Development Group. He was also a key leader in the transformation of the 3rd Generation RSAF. During his tenures, he was involved in various important activities and events such as setting up of Air Force Training Command (AFTC), organising National Day Parades (NDP) in 2004, 2005 and 2006, as well as working with other agencies to develop security protection plan for the President of the United States’ visit in 2003.
