About the Author:-

Boon is a self-declared “Existential Experimentalist” – someone who actively questions, probes and redefines what it means to be human in a constantly evolving world.

Just like the mythical cat with nine different lives, he aspires to experience as many different identities as possible, shedding himself of any fixed role but integrating all that he could learn. He has been a scholar, an entrepreneur (in HR space), a corporate leader (with Singapore Airlines), a business consultant, a certified trainer, a whisky connoisseur, an M&A advisor, and now an author.

And just like the ephemeral butterfly that flutters around to sip nectar without knowing its pollen-bearing destiny, he believes he is here to fulfil his life mission simply by striving on whatever that stirs his heart. Thus, after being thrown off the last mountain – by busting a business – he now lives to help others to craft a meaningful life.

He currently runs a social project under the banner of thecatandbutterfly.com, with a mission to bring people from different background around the world to share the common stories of humanity. Producing these various books is one of the paths to fulfilling this mission.

· “This book is indeed a candle to those navigating the brave and often messy path of personal growth. It doesn’t shout, it shines—offering warmth, light, and direction without prescribing a one-size-fits-all route. The author’s voice is both compassionate and clear, inviting readers to deepen their self-awareness and align their inner and outer lives. Packed with timeless parables, distilled wisdom, and carefully chosen quotes from gurus and sages across the ages, it serves as a spiritual companion as much as a guide. In a world full of noise, this book encourages reflection, congruence, and authenticity. It’s a gentle yet persistent reminder for anyone committed to evolving—and evolving consciously. · “We all navigate life trying to become better versions of ourselves – better parents, partners, or friends – while silently wrestling with the weight of expectations. In Asian culture, I was taught to prioritise others, often suppressing my own needs. The line between my heart’s voice and my mind’s logic blurs. Which one do I trust? This book is a compass for this struggle. Reading this feels like dialoguing with a wise, empathetic friend. The reflections here are more than just exercises; they’re bridges to self-trust, inviting clarity and courage to honour both our responsibilities and our truth. Boon guides readers to reconnect with what matters by nurturing the quiet strength we already hold. This book is a lifeline for anyone yearning to live authentically. Profoundly moving and deeply practical.” – Leon Teoh Venture capitalist & business mentor
