Biography

Rob Lawrence

Rob is VU’s unit coordinator for BMO1102 Management and Organisation Behaviour, as well as BMO1192 Business Communication. He has a long teaching and coordinating history, dating back to Monash Clayton in 1995. His teaching includes Business Communication, Managing the Service Organisation, Business Ethics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, International Management, Organisational Change and Development, as well as “Professional Development” units. Rob brings much teaching experience to the project. He holds a BA (Economics) from Deakin University 1992, a Management Certificate, Monash Graduate School of Management 1989, Cert IV Assessment and Training, Victoria University 2002 and has also studied law and languages. Prior to joining academia, Rob held a variety of positions in Commonwealth (1968-1982) and State (Victorian) Government including Ministerial Advisor, Speechwriter, Project Director, Principal Executive Officer in employment, industrial relations, consumer affairs and transport fields. He was also Learning and Development Manager (Vic/Tas) for the Australian Public Service Commission from 2001-2003.
