Look Inside

Monster: a tough love letter on taming the machines that rule our jobs, lives, and future Ebook

This book poses the troubling question, ?Have we inadvertently created a technology monster (everything from smart phones to big data) that despite all its gifts, is hurting our society, economy and psychology? And if so, what can we do about it?? From deep fakes and disinformation campaigns, through our growing addiction to mobile phones, to the ?winner takes all? nature of modern technology platforms, it is becoming clearer that accelerating digitalization has the potential to do as much harm as good. This is even more the case now as we fight Covid-19. Tech may help keep us healthy ? but will our freedom be an unanticipated casualty? The authors give a fascinating explanation of the problem and explain 13 steps companies and individuals can take to responsibly engage technology.
